Work Redesigned: The Latest Updates From Canva Create
Based on their latest keynote speech, Canva 2024 focuses on 3 pillars: the growth and importance of visual communication, the proliferation of workplace tools and the rapid rise of generative AI.
With more than 185 million people using the platform, they have announced great improvements and upgrades to the Canva experience. Here are the highlights:
- More features to empower organisations to use the tool. Rolling out from now through August, there will be customised workspaces, streamlined design flows and collaborative opportunities for your team!
- Introducing Canva Enterprises, a new subscription for larger organizations with more security and integration requirements.
- Canva Courses are now a thing. Whether you’re doing a training module for HR, Marketing, or Creatives, there is a learning and development training program now available built directly inside the platform.
- Work kits to cater to the courses above. They have provided a collection of resources, templates, playbooks, and apps to make it easier for us to do our work.
- Magic Studio, the platform’s built-in AI tool goes to the next level with Magic Media, Magic Write, Magic Design, Styles and Layouts! They also improved their photo and video editor, plus added more options to Resize & Magic Switch.
- They’re helping us speed up the creative process by introducing Bulk Create, Ad Tech Integrations, Data Autofill and Recordings!
- Earlier this year, they joined forces with Affinity and have added advanced features such as Variable font support, a new Stroke Width Tool, a QR Code Tool and support for ARM64chips.
Our design team will be busy trying these new features for the next few days and we are excited to see how we can apply it to our client’s campaigns!

It’s Official: Google is Mixing Organic Results & Google Ads
Google has been quietly mixing ads into organic search results for nearly a year. We’ve had questions but never got confirmation until now. This update means that it will be more difficult for users to distinguish between paid ads and organic listings, potentially leading to more ad clicks. But on the other hand, this will also be a negative in terms of user experience.
A collection of 2,500 leaked internal documents from Google is the source. It contains details about data that the company collects and keeps track of. The leaked material suggests that they have been keeping data which they have previously said did not matter to rankings. These are data such as clicks, chrome user data and more.
Understandably, they information created a commotion in the industry. Google has always been very secretive about the data but this influx of information offers us at least a peek into their mind map.
For companies such as Move Ahead Media, this means that organic search ranking might become even more crucial. Since google ads can now blend with organic results, users are more likely to click on the top results – it doesn’t matter if they’re ads or not.
If you want to make sure you’re not completely affected by this change, contact our team today. With over 13 years of experience in the industry, we can help optimise your website for high organic rankings and get noticed by potential customers.

Say Goodbye to GBP Call Histories and Chat
“We acknowledge this may be difficult news,” says Google but added, “We occasionally have to make difficult decisions.”
On 15 July, searchers will not be able to start new chats but existing chats will still work. 31 July 2024 will be the last day we will see any of it. Call history reports will also disappear on this day. Google says it’s removing it due to the low usage. They will also take the time to prioritize focusing on features with higher impact.
To save all data, Google has given us an option to download all the historical data via Google Takeout. To make sure that you do not lose any customer conversations, consider moving them to alternate chat channels soon.
It’s good to note that we’ll still be able to continue receiving calls from Business Profile and track other engagement metrics like web traffic and direction requests.
