Next Google Core Update Coming Soon

Big news is on the horizon for SEO. Google announced that they will be releasing a new core update in the coming weeks. This update is expected to bring a lot of changes. Note that there has been some search ranking volatility around 18 July, which has caught our attention.

Google also said that they will discontinue Google Search Notes. This major development prompts a shift in how search results and notes are managed. This feature was once a staple for many users.

They are also experimenting with AI-generated overviews in certain Workspace accounts in the UK. This change can affect how users trust and perceive AI-generated content. These overviews can provide concise information but will reduce citations from platforms like Reddit and Quora.

And it does not end there just yet. Google is also phasing out its URL shortener links. Users must transition to alternative URL-shortening services to maintain their link management practices.

Lastly, Google’s site reputation abuse policy continues to impact earning predictions for sites that abuse their reputation. This policy forces the importance of making sure content and reputation management maintains ethical standards.

Our team of dedicated SEO experts will be at the forefront of these updates and will keep you in the loop since we do not know when the launch will be. Danny Sullivan, the Google Search Liaison, said it’s hard to predict when it will roll out. He comments, “I would expect we’ll see one in the coming weeks because that fits in with our general cycle.” “But precisely when that’s just not known yet,” he added.

X (formerly Twitter) Launches Trend Genius Ad

X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, has launched “Trend Geniun” ad format. This is their solution to help brands tap into trending conversations more effectively.

They said this on their platform: “Trend Genius is an exciting new ad product that allows brands to deploy hyper-relevant ads based on real-time conversation trends, leveraging the power of X’s Ads and Trend APIs.”

With innovation at the forefront, they will take real-time data and let advertisers align their campaigns with popular topics. They hope that using this will help enhance engagement and visibility. They also wanted to provide marketers with a tool to stay relevant and keep up to date with the ever-changing social media landscape.

Trend Genius allows content creators and advertisers to select the conversation topics that resonate with them. This can be anything from the Olympics to fashion, music, to AI. When these topics start to get more reach, an ad featuring preprogrammed creative is automatically deployed on the platform! Same thing when then the conversations die down, the ad will be turned off automatically.

This is a very interesting initiative from the controversial platform. It can be a game-changer if it works.

This announcement comes a few days after their owner, Elon Musk, announced that he will be moving the company to Starbase, Texas. In some ways, it would mark the end of an era. A physical move to Texas would also be a symbolic reframing of X’s revised state, completely removing memories of Twitter from their office.

Meta’s Testing AI Comment Summaries on Facebook

AI is here, and it is here to stay. In another move to enhance their UX, Meta is exploring the use of AI to create summaries of comment threads on Facebook. They say this new feature will provide users with concise overviews of long conversations. This will make it easier to understand the main points without scrolling through multiple comments.

The AI-generated summaries will help users save time and stay informed. The test is part of Meta’s ongoing efforts to improve user experience and be at the forefront of innovative technology.

A few examples of this feature have already been viewed and criticised by users. A few people are saying that it’s not really helpful or wanted. But for those who just want the summary, it can be of use.

YouTube is testing out the same, with AI comment summaries that divide the conversations/comments into topics.

Whether you would like to see this feature or prefer the old way to read through comments, that is up to you. Luckily, Meta provides you with a choice and you can change your preferences on your profile settings.
